Educators teach history of 9/11

As the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks approaches, some teachers are integrating the day into classroom lessons, including middle-school teacher Sonia Corlew, who has her students read Billy Collins’ poem “The Names” and also interview their family members about their 9/11 memories. Terri McDaid, a sixth-grade teacher in Pennsylvania, shares her own experiences on that day and also engages with memorial resources.
