More students omit SAT, ACT scores on applications

Approximately two-fifths of students submitted SAT or ACT scores when applying to college this year, and they weren’t required to at nearly 90% of institutions that are members of the Common Application, according to the organization. Most of those opting out were first-generation and underrepresented minority applicants, the Common App reported.
