Researchers study how teachers teach 9/11

Researchers from University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Education have led two decades of research about how the 9/11 terrorist attacks and global war on terror are taught in schools. Researchers found 9/11 is most frequently taught near its anniversary and that many teachers continue teaching 9/11 as a “collective memory event,” similar to how the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was taught.
