Supply chain issues challenge school meal programs

School nutrition professionals may need to be creative if the country’s supply chain disruptions result in shortages of certain items, said Sebasthian Varas, nutrition services director at Canyons School District in Utah. A survey by the School Nutrition Association found that a number of districts nationwide are concerned about supply chain challenges, workforce scarcity and other issues.
